Project Description

This course teaches how to create maps that are easy to interpret and properly designed for their audience and delivery medium, with an emphasis on applying fundamental cartographic design principles. You will learn how to follow a standard cartographic workflow to efficiently produce high-quality maps for print and online use.

Please note that this course is for users of ArcMap. If you are using ArcGIS Pro please see our ArcGIS Pro courses. This course is equivalent with the ArcGIS Pro course: Creating mapping and visualization products using ArcGIS.

Audience

Cartographers and GIS analysts, specialists, mapping technicians, and others who need to produce maps using ArcGIS software.

Prerequisites

Completion of ArcGIS 2: Essential Workflows or equivalent knowledge is recommended.
